If you’re already confident in ground handling and canopy control, you don’t need to start from scratch.

✔️ Be confident with canopy control both on the ground and in the air
👉 This course is designed for experienced paragliding pilots and does not include basic ground-handling instruction.
🪂 Ground Handling Assessment (Your Own Equipment Required)
Before progressing to powered flight, all pilots must complete a ground-handling assessment as part of the 2-hour session included with the £300 commitment fee.
This assessment must be carried out using your own paragliding equipment (wing and harness).
This ensures accurate evaluation of your control, technique, and overall readiness for powered flight.
If you do not currently own equipment, we may provide suitable training gear for assessment or initial flights at the instructor’s discretion.
However, if you use PPG Training UK equipment, you accept full financial responsibility for any damage, repairs, or replacement costs that occur — regardless of circumstance.
🪶 Use of Training Equipment
If your handling meets the required safety standard, you’ll be provided with a suitable training wing and motor for your first solo powered flight.
That said, it is strongly recommended that pilots eventually train and fly on their own wing and motor, as familiarity with your own equipment ensures the safest long-term development in the sport.
