Most students train over weekends, with weekday sessions available when conditions allow.

🪂 What is PPG (Powered Paragliding)?

Powered Paragliding (PPG), or paramotoring, is one of the simplest and most accessible forms of aviation — requiring no licence, medical, or inspections in the UK.

You wear a lightweight motor on your back, clip into a paraglider wing, and take off from open spaces like fields or parks. It’s legal, safe, and incredibly rewarding — with running costs as low as £7 per hour.

🗓️ When You’ll Train

We plan sessions around the weather, not the calendar.
📆 Main training days: weekends
🗓️ Additional sessions: weekdays when conditions allow
✅ We only train when the weather is safe and suitable
You’ll be notified when flyable days are available and can book when it suits you.

🗺️ What You’ll Learn

Phase 1: Ground Skills

  • Wing layout, inflation, and control

  • Forward and reverse kiting

  • Glider balance, tracking, and wind management

  • Collapse prevention and recovery drills

Phase 2: Engine & Launching

  • Engine start-up and throttle control

  • Pre-flight checks and setup

  • Controlled inflations and transition to flight

  • Ground handling with the motor running

Phase 3: Flight Training

  • Radio-guided take-offs and landings

  • Turning, flaring, and circuit work

  • Height management and navigation

  • Safety drills and emergency procedures

Bonus (Instructor Supervised)

  • Spirals and pitch correction

  • Induced collapses

  • Ridge soaring (when weather allows)

Your commitment fee secures your place in the training programme and includes:

💸 £200 per Training Session
Pay-as-you-go format.
Most students reach their first solo flight in 8–12 lessons, depending on weather, progress, and attendance.

During your early lessons, your instructor will assess your aptitude and confirm whether the sport is a good long-term fit for you before you commit to further sessions.

🪂 Equipment Use & Responsibility

All new students are welcome to use PPG Training UK’s training equipment (paramotor, wing, helmet, and radio).

However, any damage caused through misuse, error, or unsafe handling is the responsibility of the student and must be covered in full.

As you develop, it is recommended that you purchase your own equipment — allowing you to train and fly on gear that suits your weight, skill level, and long-term flying goals.

⚖️ Terms & Access Policy

The £300 commitment fee is non-refundable.
It secures your place in the programme and grants access to digital learning materials and the student community.

Access to the Digital Ground School is lifetime while the platform remains active.
PPG Training UK reserves the right to update, modify, restrict, or remove access at its discretion.

Some educational content includes purchased or licensed third-party media, used under fair-use or educational licence.
